about me & my art

I am an artist and art instructor with a passion for large, colorful abstract paintings.

After completing my Studio Art and Art Education degrees at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, I have enjoyed teaching elementary art for the past 20 years, primarily in Keller ISD where I continue to work with students from Pre-K to 5th grade.

In my artwork I primarily use oil and acrylic paints on canvas to explore the relationship between line, geometric, and organic shapes while experimenting with various textures and colors.

Abstract art allows each viewer to see something unique. For me, abstract art is a powerful form of self-expression, influenced by my emotions, life experiences, and the music I listen to while painting.
